Die Cutters To change standards in your estimating program follow these steps: 1. If you are already in the Estimating Program Exit out back to your Windows Desktop. 2. Once you are at the Windows Desktop re start the Estimating Icon 3. Select Estimate from the Estimate or Demo Menu 4. The following screen will appear: Activities Folders Reports Housekeep 5. Select Housekeep, the following screen will appear: Set as Network Update Master Set Estimate Number Load Update Standards Entry Create Standards, Ticket, AE Files Set as Standalone Restrict Access to Housekeep Remove Actual vs. Estimate Remove Job Ticket Return to Estimate 6. Select Standards Entry, the following screen will appear: ENSURE YOU EXIT AND RELOAD PROGRAM BEFORE CHANGING STANDARDS This is a message to remind you that you should have exited to the Windows Desktop before starting the Change Standards Procedure. We have done this so select OK. This will take you into the Standards Entry Area. This is an on-line manual that simply scrolls down for thousands of lines. The text explains each table. You will notice that there are blue and black areas. You should only change the blue areas. The on-line manual is very long, so the system has a quick lookup feature by using the flashlight in the CHG STDS section of the smart icons at the top of the screen. 7. Click on the MOVE TO SPECIFIC AREA OF STANDARDS Icon. The following screen will appear: Decimals Straight Knife Hand Fold Stripping Die Cutters Stamp/Emboss Presses Foil Binding Paper Waste Laminate Mounter Cartons Gluers Quick Codes Additional Standards 8. Select the area of Standards you require i.e. Die Cutters and click on OK. The following screen will appear: The Estimating Program will allow you have 2 Press Areas. The first area will allow you to perform Die Cutting/Perfing/Scoring etc. The second Press area will allow the program to account for Foil/Embossing etc. in the same or separate pass on the same or different press. 9. Read the text and fill in the tables accordingly. Continue this process until all standards you need to change have been completed. Your standards are NOT saved yet. To make these changes permanent, you must follow the following steps. Select Topics Icon at the top of the screen. Select Housekeep Select Update Master The message ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO UPDATE THE MASTER will appear: Click OK The software will begin the routine but will bring you the following message: FILE ALREADY EXISTS Replace Backup Cancel Help Select Replace If you are changing many standards, you can repeat this routine several times to ensure you don’t lose any data. STANDARDS ARE ONLY MADE PERMANENT WHEN YOU PERFORM UPDATE MASTER
