Installation Instructions 5.01 e (#6083)

Please note this version requires version 6 or 7 of Sybase.

1)	Arrange for data migration.
AFTER MIGRATION IS COMPLETE - AND YOUR DATA HAS BEEN RETURNED TO YOU proceed to the next step.

2)	Copy your c:\powerprn\pp.ini file to a backup folder, i.e., P:\update or c:\
From the first station

3)	Uninstall your current Dienamic MIS version

4)	Delete the c:\powerprn folder

5)	Empty trash and shutdown/restart

6)	Install the new Dienamic MIS CD taking all defaults

7)	Restore your pp.ini file to c:\powerprn

If you have upgraded your Sybase to version 7, proceed to Step 8) otherwise go to step 9)

8)	Using Windows Explorer - select c:\powerprn\pp.ini file.
This will open up your configuration file into a text editor - scroll down to the [Database] heading.
Change "Dbparm=" to "Dbparm=PP ASA7 Net BIOS"
Change "Database Backup Command=" to "Database Backup Command=c:\asa7\win32\dbbackup"

9)	Test on first station

10)	Perform steps 2 to 8 on all other stations.
