WELCOME TO THE DIENAMIC MIS SOFTWARE INC. ESTIMATING DEMONSTRATION

The following screen images will take you through the routine of entering an estimate into our Diemaking Estimate System.

The purpose of this demonstration is to provide you with a general overview of the estimating procedure and the operations that the program covers.

The total loading time of this page may vary from user to user depending on system performance and the type of connection being used but it should take approximately 15 minutes due to the large images required to show high detail.

The buttons in the screens will be described but do NOT function.

When you first load the program the following screen appears:

The option of Activities is pre selected so simply click on the OK Button. the following screen will appear:

The option of New File is pre selected so simply click on the OK Button. the following screen will appear:

The above dialogue box allows the estimator to type in the Title and Description. The Estimator would also use the check boxes and pick lists menus to select the Estimator, Customer, Category and Material Supplied. This information is added to the Estimate, the Letter and the Estimate History Program.

When all this information is entered it will look like the screen below.

This brings you to the Input Screen. This is exactly that, a way to quickly enter the information required to generate an estimate. Notice that the Description and the Title appear in the Input screen. Assign the next Estimate Number by clicking on the Estimate # Button on the right hand side of the screen.

The Demonstration will now highlight the cursor position with the Red box as displayed in the following screen. Enter up to 5 Quantities at 1 time. The demonstration will use 1 quantity. The quantity required for this is estimate is 1.

Notice that you would now move down to the Source Code as highlighted by the Red box. Any of the pop boxes are defined in the standards as to which options appear. Simply click on the LU Button and the following pick list will appear. This estimate will use a sample as a source.

You simply repeat the process of selecting the required information. The system is now requesting the type of stock the Die will be used on. You can quickly move in the list by typing the first letter of the Code. You will also notice that the pick list returns a number code for the description. This was done so that as you learn the codes for the various products you can simply enter the number without having to use the Pick List.

Next select the Press that this die will be used on.

The software allows you to define certain types of images so that the software can prompt you for the dimensions required to calculate the length of rule required.

The Red block is highlighting the dimensions required for the square die.

The software allows you to pick the board type.

Enter the hours for the CAD/CAM portion of the Diemaking process.

Select the rule type. The software allows for up to 7 DIFFERENT types of rule to be used on one job.

Next select punches if required. For our estimate they will be used. The system allows for up to 7 DIFFERENT types of punches to be used on one job.

The software calculates the time to burn both the interior and perimeter.

To add more consistency to your estimates the software allows you to define types of dies. Based on the type of die you can have pre-determined times for each type of bend. This means that the person quoting the job has only to count the number of each type of bend and the software will apply the appropriate time.

Choose the type of Ejection Material that the customer requires.

You're estimate is finished. We will give you the ability to look at all the details and operations later in the demonstration. First lets look at the breakdown of the price that was generated by the computer. The following screen shows you the price broken down by Material, Labor, Dies and Outside Services. The software also provides you the ability to markup each of these.

If you are happy with the selling price then you can fax a letter confirming the quote directly to the customer. The following screen will display the letter format. You can scan in your logo and also a diagram of the piece that you are quoting. This screen represents the top portion of the letter.

Your estimate is now complete! All Estimates can be saved and recalled for re-quoting. At any point in the estimate you can drill down into the details of each operation contained within the estimate. Within the details you have the flexibility to fine tune an estimate by overriding speeds and make-ready times.
